Spicy Tofu Sheet Rolls

Recept (dutch): pittig gehakt in gefrituurde tofu sheets

Recipe (english):

250g minced pork
1 shallot (finely chopped)
1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
(I used 1 garlic stem, thinly sliced)
2 water chestnuts (diced)
¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 teaspoon sambal (or another chilisauce)
2 tsp dark soy sauce
1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
3 teaspoons Shaoxing rice wine
50g glutinous rice flour

Tofu Sheets

Mix all ingredients for the filling to a smooth, sticky mass.
Place your (soft) tofu skin on a cutting board or work surface and put some filling on it. Roll tofu sheet as firmly as possible to have multiple layers. Folding a flat, rectangular packet (as in this photo) works to and might be easier.

Steam the packets 10-15 minutes
Then deepfry a few minutes at 185 ° C until they brown and crispy.
Serve with sweet chili sauce or another "strong" sauce.
